This listing is for the HobbyPlus 050 55t CR-18 motor. This is a very popular upgrade for many 1/18 and 1/24 scale micro crawlers. Very popular upgrade for the Axial SCX24. This is, in my opinion, a better motor for the SCX24 than the popular ECX Barrage (DYNS1203) and RGT (RGT13625) motors because the bolt pattern matches that of the stock SCX24 motor. This means that you don't need to drill the custom motor plate or purchase a different motor mount.
Mods Required for SCX24
- Clipping of one of the stock battery tray legs (to accomodate the longer motor vs stock.
- Drilling of the transmission case (to relieve binding)
- Switching wire pins are still required (polarity), just like the popular barrage motors
- Motor wire is a bit short. It works well if you have the ESC relocated to the rear. If you keep the ESC located at the front, you will need to extend the wires.
