Toyo Quarry Collection Pottery

Description

Japan's Toyo Pottery has always been synonymous with creativity---from classic to mid-century shapes and finishes---and this unique grouping from their Quarry Collection is no exception.  These four pieces have been imprinted with a realistic-looking but faux marbleized stone glaze of varying pattern and intensity. The deeply veined tonal gray plate, with rolled edges, would make a perfect cheese/
hors d'oeuvres
platter. The rhomboid mid-level gray vase with its irregular hole would look stunning with brightly-colored flowers rising above it. The dark green flying saucer vase is a shape used in Toyo's admired ikebana vessels. Last, the triangular brown/ocher dish, with its bold veining and slanting raised border, would look great as an accent piece or a clever jewelry tray. For scale, the triangular dish is about 11"L x 7"W at the base.
These dishes are used but have no crazing,chips, cracks, or use marks that I can see (if you see something let me know). Examine the photos closely as they are part of the description.
