Description
Totally customized with only one set made. Made out of the last of the leather factories leopard print that I purchased before they stopped making it many years ago. They used real cow hide with real hair that was first totally bleached and then it was dyed in an adult leopard print. Next, instead of using my smaller snake head armilla, I added the larger and nicer lion head torcs. These phalera disk are also my latest redesigned light and correct size Lauersfort phalera which are almost three times the size of the Indian made ones. The Curator at the Mainz German/Roman Central Museum, Dr Ernzt Kunzl helped me on these who has this set in their Museum. I met him when I went there with Peter Connolly 18 years ago. I also totally redid the gold gilding on the silver disk and put a new harder sealer on the gold gilding. You will definitely stand out in a crowd wearing these magnificent phalera. The pictured master seen here has been sold but I have another set of my tenLauersfort phalera
silver disk and
leopard
leather hide print in stock along with the needed brass rivets and tools need to do the job. So if you buy this, be aware that it will take at least a month for me to put all of this together and shipped to you.
The additional pictures of a Roman centurion wearing them is only for the viewer to understand how they would be worn and how they would look on a life size centurion. These are based on the original life size
Lauersfort phalera
disk that were found in Germany.
