    Description

    This is a life size bearded Greek, Persian, Roman and Parthian / Roman Cataphract Silver plated red bronze face mask.  There is a long ancient history of elite troops wearing face mask of one kind or another.  Although they were primarily for protection, they were also seen as decorative armor as the years went by and as a status symbol to those few who wore them.  There can little doubt that early warriors saw their face and head as their most valuable asset as eyes were needed to see the enemy, mouths were needed to command and even the nose was used to smell the emery or his cavalry and ears were needed to hear the enemy and your leaders orders.
    You are buying the mask only but I can also both build and make an apparatus to hold this mask directly onto your face and head for a fee as well as mount it to your helmet or one of mine for a fee.  A leather face and head apparatus to both attach and hold the mask onto your face and crown of your head and in place will cost .  To attach a hinge to both your helmet and the top of my mask so that it can easily swing open or closed when needed and then attach small leather belts with buckles on either side of the mask to hold it to your helmet and a little off your face will be 9.
    I only made three and they are only made by me, so they will be extremely rare and once they are gone, I will not make anymore.
