Description
An amazing micromosaic depictsa hunting scene: a fox that bites a duck
.
The micromosaic represents one of the typical souvenirs of the Grand Tour and
must date to 1850/1860.
This piece is particularly beautiful because of
the proportions and plasticity of the figures, the gradations of the colors, and the regularity of the tiles.
The general conditions of the piece are really good: minor chippings on the bottom edge, just three or four tesserae missing at the center of the lower part.
Size:
Length: 44mm.
Height: 37mm.
Thickness: 4mm.
